Prizes

1. Monetary Awards Monetary prizes will be awarded to the selected winners of each innovation track. 2. Prize Disbursement
  • Prize funds will only be transferred to a legally registered commercial entityas specified in the signed Semifinalist Manual.
  • No transferswill be made to individual accounts under any circumstances.
  • Mada aims to disburse all prizes within three (3) monthsof the competition's conclusion, although this timeline is not guaranteed.
  • All prize money is equity-free—Mada will not claim any ownership or stake in the submitted innovation or the recipient company.
3. Eligibility Requirements
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or olderat the time of submission.
  • Applicants must have the legal capacityto register a commercial entity in their country of residence if not already established.
  • Universities, schools, and non-profit organizations (NGOs)are not eligible to apply for the Mada Innovation Award.

Disqualification

Mada reserves the right to disqualify any submission at any stage of the competition for the following reasons:

  • Violation of any eligibility criteria, competition rules, or applicable laws
  • Submission of inaccurate, false, or misleading information
  • Any form of offensive, unethical, or inappropriate behavior
  • Failure to comply with submission requirements or deadlines

Disqualified applicants may be excluded from all current and future Mada Innovation programs or awards

Liability

1. Intellectual Property
  • Mada does not claim ownershipof any innovation, idea, or technology submitted.
  • All intellectual property rights remain the sole property of the applicant.
  • Applicants are responsible for securing appropriate IP protectionprior to submission if required.
2. Data Privacy
  • Personal information collected through the application process will be used solely for the administration and evaluationof the Mada Innovation Award.
  • Mada will not share, sell, or disclosepersonal data to third parties without the applicant’s explicit consent.
3. Final Authority
  • Mada reserves the right to amend these terms and conditionsat any time.
  • In the event of disputes, ambiguity, or misinterpretation, Mada’s decision will be final and binding.
  • Mada will not be liable for any loss, inconvenience, or damagesresulting from participation in the competition.
4. External Links Disclaimer
  • Mada does not endorse or accept responsibility for the content on any third-party websiteslinked through the competition platform.

Access to and Control Over Your Information

Applicants may contact Mada at any time to:

  • View the personal data Mada holds about them
  • Request corrections to inaccurate or outdated information
  • Request deletion of their personal data
  • Raise concerns regarding the use or handling of their data

Security

Mada takes all reasonable precautions to protect the personal and sensitive information submitted via the award portal:

  • Information is protected both online and offline using industry-standard security practices
  • Access is restricted to authorized personnel only
  • Data is stored securely to prevent unauthorized access, misuse, or alteration

Code of Conduct

All applicants and participants must adhere to the following Code of Conduct:

  • Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and respect throughout the competition
  • Comply with all relevant laws and ethical standards
  • Refrain from plagiarism, misrepresentation, or misuse of proprietary content
  • Ensure the originality and authenticity of all submissions
  • Acknowledge that employees of Mada, their immediate family members, and individuals with close professional affiliations or partnerships with Mada staff are strictly prohibited from applying or participating in the Mada Innovation Award

Any breach of the above code may result in disqualification and ineligibility for future participation in Mada programs
